about.
My name is Jordan Martin.
I'm a senior in Journalism at the University of Oregon.

I discovered my love for photography started after not making the JV basketball team in high school tryouts. Motivated by this, but grounded by the reality that I wasn't good, I decided to look for alternative ways to still stay connected and involved around basketball. I discovered sport photography through a yearbook class my senior year, and when my mom made me go to college, I decided to stick with it. Soon after starting college, I found my own role photographing Lane’s basketball team, and was given the freedom to help build up the brand after developing a relationship with the team. One of my favorite experiences was getting to travel with the team to Colorado, where I documented their games, explored the state and went on a spontaneous 2 a.m. 7-Eleven trip.
Current roles I work: NBA G-League team the Rip City Remix as a photography contributor. KWVA Radio, covering multiple Oregon sports including MBB, WBB and FB, as well as being on the social committee. Oregon Accelerator, creating social media content and campaigns for Oregon athletes to secure NIL deals. And Freelancing.

Previously worked on: Willamette Valley Jaguars in the TBL, as their team photographer. FlexWork Sports: Shaedon Sharpes youth camp. Isaiah Thomas & Jamal Crawford Zeke-end Tournament. Les Schwab Invitational 25'. Capitol City Classic. Evan Stewarts road to recovery in Miami, FL. The Daily Emerald.
As a Eugene native, I've always been a lifelong Duck fan (Sco!).
I am persistent, innovative and open to spontaneity! In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball, listening to soul music, looking at sunsets and discovering new chicken spots.
